Oceans 5 Dive Gili Air is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive (IDC) Resort, Career Development Center from 2014. Oceans5 is located in Gili Air, Indonesia which has a perfect tropical environment.

PADI IDC Gili Islands runs an IDC at PADI Career Development Center Oceans5every month. The PADI IDC Program at Oceans 5 includes the Emergency First Response Instructor Course(EFRI course) and the Instructor Development Course (IDC).Oceans 5 organizes the PADI IDC Program in small groups with basic requirements such as dive theory presentations, practice exams, classroom presentations about how to teach the PADI courses, and other topics like marketing and risk management, confined water skill sessions (to practice the 24 skills from the PADI Divemaster course), confined water and open water sessions(in-water workshops to learn how to handle students when teaching the PADI courses). Especially Oceans 5 provides plenty of workshops simulating real life teaching scenarios for the PADI IDC Program to better prepare IDC candidates for the future. More than 100 people have successfully become PADI Instructors though Oceans 5.



The PADI IDC Program at Oceans 5 is conducted by PADI Course Director Sander Buis, Joeri Van Haland a team of 4 IDC staff instructors at Oceans 5 Dive Resort. Sander, the owner and Oceans 5 started his career as PADI Course Director in 2013. Joeri, our new in house PADI Course Director, will conduct from October. Sander said “Our object is not only make the candidates pass the IE(Instructor Exam), but become real Instructors. Another goal of his is to provide IDC center education in multiple languages by those who speak languages such as Spanish, French, Dutch, English and German natively.”



Nina Glöckner(37 ,Germany) who took PADI IDC Program at Oceans 5 on June said “It was very nice. The most interesting part was Open water Presentation. They were always fun and the Open water presentation sessions with Sander was really fun, interactive and we learnt a lot from him.
