Successful IDC Gili Islands year! The last PADI IDC Gili Islands is over. It was a successful PADI IDC Gili Islands year at dive resort Oceans 5 Gili Air. It was the first time in the history of PADI Career Development Center Oceans 5 that it conducted 10 PADI instructor courses a year. And it was a success that we will continue in the next couple of years. PADI Course Directors, Joeri, Assar and Sander made it all possible. They achieved a brilliant passing rate of 100% for their candidates. Even passing is not the major goal and for sure not the philosophy of Oceans 5. Oceans 5 likes to make confident, good educated instructors. The next PADI Instructor Development course at Oceans 5 starts the 14th of January. PADI Course Director will be Joeri van Hal. Oceans 5 dive resort is conducting another PADI IDC Gili Islands . The IDC started at the first of May and will be finished at the 12th of Mat. The PADI Instructor Examination (IE) will be held on Gili Trawangan the 13th and 14th of May. The IDC candidates are from all over the world, from Spain, Canada, England, Germany, Switzerland and the US. It is a very mix group but all fit very well together. The PADI Course Director is Assar. He is PADI Course Director for 10 years and knows all the in and outs of a PADI Instructor Development Course. Assar will have some assistant from Master Instructor Joeri. Joeri is accepted for the next PADI Course Director Course in June. Hopefully he will pass and from that moment Oceans 5 will have 2 resident PADI Course Directors in the house. PADI IDC Gili Islands again successful! After Viv finished her Divemaster Course at Gili Air she decided to join PADI 5 star IDC Center Oceans 5 for her PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). And she was successful. The 5th of March she became a PADI Instructor. The PADI IDC started the 20th of February with 2 candidates. During the IDC Kimmo became ill. Five days of high fewer made him decide to continue the next IDC starting the 27th March. But Viv continued. Thanks to the amazing IDC staff Oceans 5, PADI Course Director Sander, Master Instructor Joeri, Staff Instructor Josep, Instructors Heiko, Sus and Ari she could she do all her assignments during the IDC and even more. Viv is now on her way to become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT). This is a 5 days program where she will be trained in how to teach 5 PADI Specialties.
